Looking into the face of God

Looking into the face of God.
Looking into the face of God, Oh what an awesome thought.
To stand before Him trembling, As His mercy I have sought.
Looking into the face of God, How very small I’ll feel.
Seeking for His marvelous Grace, As on my knees I’ll kneel.
Looking into the face of God, to answer for my being.
Covered by the blood of Christ, no sin he shall be seeing.
Looking into the face of God, How great the contemplation.
Knowing that it was Him, whom spoke the words of creation.
Looking into the face of God, , whom gave His Son for me.
Knowing I will have a home with Him, through all eternity.
Looking into the face of God, not wanting to look away.
Wanting to never look from off where my eyes will lay.
Looking into the face of God, standing in white garment.
What will you be standing in, When it comes your moment?

Saints that the light shines through.

My friend Frances told me a most wonderful joke this morning. And I want to share it with all of you.
There was a little girl sitting beside her mother in church, one Sunday morning. The girl could not take her eyes off the stained glass windows they were so beautiful with the light shining through them. Finally she leans over and ask her mother. Who are those people that are in the windows. Her mother replies, they are the saints. The girl sits the rest of the sermon, looking at the windows and marveling at how beautiful they were. At school the next day the teacher was asking the class about their spelling words and the definition of each word. It just so happened the word Saint was in that list of spelling words. When the teacher asked the class if anyone knew the meaning of the word. The little girl enthusiastically raised her hand, and when the teacher called on her , she very proudly said, A saint is a person that the light shines through.
And isn't it so true, we should be able to see Jesus' light in all of His Saints. Let your little light shine Christian Saints, let your little light shine brightly.

Make believe

I know that there are children all over the earth. Each day have their little play acting and make believe all sorts of things, from flying to the moon to having a castle as big as the state of Texas. And let's not forget the adults with our make believe. We play act our entire lives, always making ourselves more than we really are. We have things to make us feel more important than we are. We have our jewelry, our fancy clothes. And what makes it funny to me is that people base their importance on the price tags and the labels inside. If one should ware a walmart special then that's one class of people and if you ware designer name then , wow, you're up there in class.
I bring this up because Willard was studying for his next two lessons, Friday at the nursing home and also Sunday. He was reading in the Bible about not making judgements of people because of their dress and appearance. He was reading from James the second chapter, verses 1-10
James 2
1My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. 2For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? 5Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? 6But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? 7Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 10For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
And as we talked about it, we started to bring up things that had happened in our own church. How all the less influential have moved on to attend other churches. How we ourselves often felt out of place in a church that we have attended for some years now. And we Actually talking about going to another church ourselves. But then the awful truth sets in. All churches are about the same. the more well to do people are the majority of all the churches. And while they may put on that 'act' of welcoming you into their midst. One can tell it's as make believe as the child's make believe of being a high society roll. You know their voice rises just a little as they say good morning to you, as their focus goes to some one more well suited to have a conversation with. And you hear that excuse me I need to speak to so and so. And they walk off leaving you to your own solitude. Because!!! You ware a $30.00 outfit to church instead of their $250.00.
And do you know what is the clincher of it all. When they read the verses in James, they don't see themselves.
I write this because I want each and every one of you to consider, '''Are you the sinner in James, that put tags on people. Let's stop the play acting and just see the person and not the condition the person is in. Let me ask you a question and see if you can answer it honestly in your heart. Would a man looking like the drawing above be welcomed in your church?
Thank you for reading, and
God Bless, love hugs and kisses
