Habits

I don't know if some very Intelligent person has ever said this or not . but if not they should have .

Bad habits are hard to break, while good habits are hard to keep.

I know someone had bound to have said this. But I thought of some of my bad habits this morning and thought how hard it was to break myself from them. while some things that I need to be doing are hard to keep doing. So that's that, and if you find anyone who has said this as a quote, please let me know.

Who's on our side

I received a statement in the mail yesterday. It was a list of the new APR . 25.24% on purchases and a whopping 27.15% if you get cash.

And now we know who will be paying for all the people that over used their cards, The ones also whom had little choice because of the economy. And the one that went bankrupted and their dept was null and void.

Now the credit card company is not going to take the loss, So of course they are passing it down to their clients that can still afford to pay their bills.

That credit card company , is not interested in your troubles . They don't care that you are having to do without many things because of the economy and the high prices out there. NO, NO, all they care about is their own Corporate headquarter big wigs and the bonus checks. gotta keep getting those!

It's the same in big and small businesses everywhere. I mean The manager of the grocery store where I shop had told all his baggers to pack all they can possibly get into the bags to save the store money. I mean I came home one time with 4 loafs of bread in one bag. You can guess the shape of my bread when I got home, """flat as a pancake were the bottom two loafs""". But people to make a very long story short. Here it is, Remember these people when the economy picks up, remember who it was that had compassion on people, and remember those that were looking more to the bonus check they would get. remember my Friends remember. And when things turn around, shop with the ones that cared.

Bible study

I love to study the Bible, Not just read it but really study it. Getting a few commentaries, Not just one. Seeing what they say about the verses, and then forming my own educated opinion. There are lots of places in the Bible that if you simply read, you will not get the correct meaning of the verse. One word can change the whole meaning, and it depends upon the language of origin. and whether it was interpreted correctly or not. Most of the revised Bibles have most of the correct words, etc. But still are in error on a few things. Finding out what a frontlet that the Israelites would but on their foreheads or between their eyes is. finding out the the five porches are not porches at all. it's these kinds of things that intrigues me about the word of God. Finding out truths and not just excepting other peoples opinions.

I bring this up because I will be starting a Bible study group at the nursing home. It starts tomorrow. I will be there and I really don't want to say "teaching" because I expect to learn just as much from these old Saints as I could ever teach them. We will discuss each verse and learn from each other. I know these old saints have plenty of knowledge stored in their memory banks, that's just waiting to be told.

So please keep us in your prayers. the group will be Monday, tuedays, wednesday at 10:30 and friday at 2:30 after I sing at 2:00.

My son Bobby

My 3rd son Bobby has not surprised me too much. He has always had a way with him. When at one time I needed an ear to just listen, he was there for me. That's been quite a few years ago. But Bobby has a heart as big as can be. He is a wonderful Father to his two sons. A good husband to his wife Kim. He's there for his whole family. He has opened his heart and home to Donald, his brother, and supported him through his illness. Donald my 2ND son is and has been unable to work for a couple of years now. He had a flesh eating disease in his leg,The Doctors had to cut it out and that made a hole as big as a softball in his leg. The pain was, as you may have surmised unbearable at times for Donald. Bobby's wife stepped in to be his care person when the home health people showed her how to bandage his wound, she did it as many times as they instructed her to. And Bobby supported Donald, with home and other needs for two years. Bobby has opened his home to many other people of which I will not go into names etc. But I do want Bobby to know that I have noticed. I have noticed what a good husband, father, brother, son and friend he is. Bobby I am so proud of you.
