If your home in heaven was built by how you gave of yourself on earth, what would your home look like? I know some of you whose homes will be mansions full of all kinds of blessings.
One friend of mine for instance. She never forgets to let me know that she's thinking of me and Willard. By sending cards, paying for a prescription in guidepost for me and Willard. Stopping by to see us when she's in the area. She always has a kind word to say. She has a big heart, and you can tell Jesus dwells there.
A lady at the drugstore is always there with a smile, and a kind word every time I go into, Thomas drug store. Her smile is almost addictive, her smile spreads on everyone else's face. God is revealed in that smile. she loves people, and cares about them. She's always there with chicken soup, chicken and rice for people that are sick. Money for groceries for those that are in need. A hand to hold for those that need it.
These are just two of many people in my life that serve others. It seems to me that Jesus puts a special heart inside his disciples. We Christians, are all disciples of Jesus Christ. We are not here to see how much stuff we can get on the earth. If you will remember Jesus and his disciples went on many trips without food or any other kind of provisions. All they had was the clothes and the shoes that they wore. Disciples are to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Disciples are to help the needy as best we can. We're here to show the light of Jesus inside each and every one of us. If we care more about worldly goods, then we are hiding that light under the bushel basket of our earthly idols.
Luke 11: 33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
I know too many people there are wealthy. And when they see a needy person they turned their backs and head the other way. I know so many people that are needy themselves, but will stop and give all they can to help someone else in need. These needy people, are building mansions in heaven full of the many blessings of God. The heavenly father blesses those who obeyed his son Jesus Christ. And Jesus' final commandment was for us to love one another. We are to love one another and take care of each other, until the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He's on his way people, what will your heavenly home look like?
Until next time, God bless and God save.

I was talking with my sister-in-law Janice today. She has been fighting cancer for three years now. And her and I were talking about the daily struggles of dealing with cancer. Cancer is not just a physical illness. The mental stress is not just day-to-day, but sometimes hour-by-hour, it's often torture . She started crying at one time and said she is so tired of struggling everyday to survive.
People without cancer go about their life never thinking thoughts such as, will I be alive next year. But people with cancer, do. We wonder whether we'll be here next year, or two years from now.
I think the most hurtful part of it all is when, we politely sit and listen with a forced smile on our faces, as others talk about their future plans. Or they talk about doing things that we people with cancer can no longer do. Cancer, not only threatens to take our lives, but it slowly takes away from us certain abilities. Chemotherapy and radiation destroys the cells in our bodies. We develop heart problems, breathing problems become worse. Unspeakable side effects that those without cancer cannot even imagine. The energy is sapped from our bodies, Even if we wanted to do something special, we really don't feel like it. And all the while someone is telling us what a great trip they had, telling us about others doing things that we use to enjoy doing. They don't mean to hurt us, in fact I don't even think they think about what they're doing. But the truth be said, they could not hurt us any worst if they had tried. I'm saying this not because of myself. It's because there are many people out there with cancer and other diseases that truly don't know whether they have another month to live. It’s the most cruelest thing in the world, to my opinion, for someone to talk with these people about the future and what it may hold for the person who is not ill. If you don't know what to talk about while speaking to a person in these circumstances, just talk about the past, talk about family members. And if that doesn't work, hey, you can always talk about the weather.
Janice and I are in the same situation. Although our cancer may be controllable, or treatable, both her doctor and mine have both said that our cancer will come back. Of course they can't say how long it will take to come back. They can't say where in our bodies it will come back. We were only told it will. So neither Janice nor I can say whether we will be here a year from now, or not.
I just wanted to give you something to think about, So the next time you go into a nursing home and talk to one of the residents, or to a prison and speak to one of the prisoners or in a hospital speaking to someone dying.
Please think about the topic of your conversation.

Until next time, God bless and God save.

Evolution says, a long time ago when there was nothing there was a big bang that came from nowhere and that's when things started. There was nowhere, for nothing to be. LOL. And the people that believe this philosophy say to God believing people- prove there's a God.
Well let me try.
Well first, let me give you my philosophy of the big bang. When Almighty God opened his mouth to say let there be. That's when there was somewhere for something to be. The creation of somewhere would cause such tremendous pressure on the emptiness of nothing that the sound was heard in the uppermost Heavens. Almost like a balloon popping in reverse. Think of a balloon being blown up inside an already blown up balloon. As the balloon inside inflates it causes such pressure on the outer balloon that it pops. Bang. So now somewhere is created.
After somewhere was created, God finished his sentence by saying what would ‘’be’’ created. God creates planets, suns, moons, plants, animals, even the water that fill our lakes, rivers and oceans.
Okay, so now they say, I can't see God, I can't hear God, I can't touch God, so prove God.
Well let me see. I could say that I see God in all the wonderful creations that he has created. Millions upon millions of God's creation. None of which were by happenstance. Oh, that's right, evolution believes that all of this was from nonexistent organisms getting together and forming all this. I'm sorry but I can't help but laugh at you if you believe that. If organisms did get together, God created them, and they came together as God willed them to. God created each individual thing, each individual person, as he wanted them to look. And that's my fact.
I could say, that God talks to me all the time. I can hear his gentle loving voice in my heart. Every time I'm hurting, every time I'm lonely, every time there's any need and all, God is there whispering, I love you, telling me everything will be all right. But wait a minute, that's right, if you're not a child of God, then you can't hear Him, can you?
I could say that I feel God in the gentle breeze that blows on a summer's night. Or I feel God in the embrace of a loved one. I could say, that I feel God when the Holy Spirit moves within me. That's when I feel how wonderful God's love is for us all. But that's right, if you don't believe in God, then how can you feel his love?
You see, the thing is that without faith, There really is nothing to believe in. You see, I need no one to prove there's a God. I first had faith, then I saw God, I heard God, although I could not touch God, God touched me! And I now feel God's presence with me at all times.
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Heb 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things, which are seen, were not made of things which do appear.
Until next time, God bless and God saved.

God cut the cloud so the sun could shine.

You know, people's thoughts about life and living are so very different.
Take me for instance. My philosophy in life is to live to the best of my ability, a Godly life. And in my living of this kind of life, many things may not seem wrong to you, are to me.
Inside, we all look at ourselves, and we thank of ourselves as being nice people. It reminds me of what the Bible says in
Judges 17:6 and 21:25 – – In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
This is exactly what we are seeing today in our modern culture. Read Romans chapter 1, and pay close attention to each verse. Romans chapter 1 verses 21 through 32, describes our society completely. It's not just about perverted sexual acts, it's about everyday living and the wrongs that are being done. Many people are only interested in their own little family, and what they can get out of this life. They rob, they lie, or what ever it takes to get what they want. Many people are under the false illusion that the world owes them something. They have no conscience at all, when it comes to the people that they hurt in the process of getting their wants.
According to Plato, the worst kind of lie is the "lie in the soul". This believes a lie when deep down you might suspect the truth but you resist and believe in that lie anyway. No one really wants to be deceived, and a person doesn't deceive one's own self on purpose, but the fact remains that self-deception is the most common type of delusion.
That's why, many Christians when we pray, we asked for guidance from God for our life. God knows I do, I can use all the guidance from God I can get. This life is stressful enough without going to bed each night with a guilty conscience.
If I had a vote on gay marriages it would be a resounding no. Marriage Is a sacred, I repeat sacred right between a man and a woman. God created marriage and God gave His guidelines. People in our society are excepting of about anything these days. Instead of being wrong, wrong, wrong, it's now against the law to speak ill of such things.
Yes, Judges 17:6 as become very obvious.
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I hope that each of us will think about these things as elections come. As we step into the voting booth, may we ask God almighty, to guide us in whom to vote for.

Until next time, God bless and God save.

I have an appointment next week to see this doctor.

Dr. Yu completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Chung-Ang University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. He then completed his 2-year fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC and has stayed on as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Division. Dr. Yu is interested in oncologic interventions including chemoembolization, radioembolization, and ablation therapy of tumors. His interests also include radiation dose reduction and safety in various interventional procedures and vascular imaging studies.

Until next time God bless and God save.

I woke up at 430 this morning and I don't know why I started thinking about how many people, families are in such misery. I guess it started when I saw Channel 11 news about the man who went back in his burning house to save his two daughters. He lost his life along with his two daughters. Now, there's a wife and mother who will have to learn to live without her family. It's so very sad. I thought about the flood waters in Japan that wiped away whole families. I thought about here in the United States, of all the storms that for what ever reason are many in number, and more severe than ever before. These storms have wiped out entire towns, many lives lost and millions upon millions of dollars in damages. And you know, I thought about what the Bible says about such things. Jesus said in
Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. I know there's a lot of people that think things can't get much worse, but Jesus plainly said this is just the beginning of things to come. But we Christians are promised in 1st Timothy 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
And too, I was thinking about the people in the nursing home. I went with Willard Sunday when he gave the Sunday school lesson. It's been a while since I've been due to my health. I sat and spoke to Mr. Jack, and it seemed to me the light had gone from his eyes. His once big beautiful smile has turned into a small, almost forced grin. And Mr. Maynard, I hear that he wants to die. Mr. Maynard is very close to the Lord, he's a prayer warrior. He says such beautiful prayers, and yet he's tired of living in this world with all its sorrows and pain. Willard and I started volunteering at the nursing home around seven years ago. We've seen people who have become like family, pass away. And yes, with each and every one that has passed our hearts have been broken. But still neither Willard nor I would have it any other way. We have been blessed tremendously by the residents. Each has begun with acquaintances, then friends, then family. I do miss my Bible study group that I had, and I miss singing. I'm hoping that someone else will step in my place and do these things. It is so fulfilling.
People, each and every one of us need to have something that brings us joy. Giving of yourself to others will give you that joy. Try it!
Until next time, God bless and God save.

Have you ever talked on the phone with someone that continually yawns throughout the whole conversation? I have, and it's a little unnerving.
An article from the University of Cincinnati states – – –
A means of expressing powerful emotions like anger and rejection. "Often, for whatever reason, people are not comfortable expressly verbalizing anger, boredom, disagreement or rejection. Thus, the yawn states for them, 'I'm rejecting you. I'm not interested in what you have to say. I'm not interested in you as a person.' It can serve as a passive-aggressive means to express hostility, anger or rejection when an individual isn't able to articulate those verbally.
I truly hope that the person or persons that I talk to don't feel this way. Because I truly love them. But it is something to think about.
I go tomorrow for my pet scan. Old happy day " not " LOL.
There's one thing I know, if I know nothing else. I am loved. I am loved by many friends, I am loved by many family members, I am loved by my husband and most importantly I am loved by God.
Until next time, God bless and God save.

Now I know that all you ladies know what this table is for. Yes I was on it today up in Chapel Hill. Let me describe the picture for you. Lying on the table, in the checkup position, LOL. A nurse standing by my side, rubbing my hand very gently as to calm me, LOL, LOL. Four heads crowded between my knees, lol. Three doctors and a PA.
But embarrassment eludes me since I have been under such circumstances many times at Chapel Hill. After all Chapel Hill is a teaching hospital, and when we go there we should expect nothing less.
They said they were going to be very radical with my treatments, " radiation". They will be doing inside treatments for the cervical cancer. There will be at 30% chance that my intestines will be damaged further. For the cancer on my adrenal gland above my kidney, they will be doing what they call " pin point" radiation. Due to the fact that the radiation is being done close to the spinal cord, there is a chance of spinal cord damage. I will be having another pet scan this week to make sure the cancer has not spread anywhere else in my body.
I ask for your prayers, that God lead and guide the person giving my radiation treatments.
Also, I have a prayer request. There was a man in the radiation oncology building who had throat cancer. His neck was red from the radiation burns. He was also swollen in his neck terribly. I don't know this man, I don't know his name, I don't know where he's from, but God knows who he is. He is going though such agony, I felt so sorry for him. So please say a prayer for him. God will know who you're talking about.
Until next time, God bless and God save.

Sometimes I get down spiritually. A Facebook friend lifted me up today when she placed this picture on my page. Even as a Christian that knows better, sometimes I let the devil get to me.
When the devil comes to me and says," you're going to die". I let him get to me, when what I really should be saying back to the him is – – no devil, I'll die when God Almighty says I will die, not you. And when I do die, I'm going to live eternally with the same Lord and Savior that you left in heaven".
When the devil comes to me and says," you will have agonizing pain". I also let that get to me. When what I should be saying back to the devil is" I will suffer nowhere near the pain that Jesus suffered on the cross for me".
When the devil says," Willard will be left all alone with no one to help him". I let that worry me, but instead I should be telling satan, that this same Lord and Savior that holds my hand, will be holding Willard's, and will be leading and guiding him.
Thank you Kathy Spriggs for the spiritual lift today. May God bless you, as you have blessed me.
So I say, get behind me Satan.
Until next time, God bless, and God save.
Thank you again Diane for the hat.
