If your home in heaven was built by how you gave of yourself on earth, what would your home look like? I know some of you whose homes will be mansions full of all kinds of blessings.
One friend of mine for instance. She never forgets to let me know that she's thinking of me and Willard. By sending cards, paying for a prescription in guidepost for me and Willard. Stopping by to see us when she's in the area. She always has a kind word to say. She has a big heart, and you can tell Jesus dwells there.
A lady at the drugstore is always there with a smile, and a kind word every time I go into, Thomas drug store. Her smile is almost addictive, her smile spreads on everyone else's face. God is revealed in that smile. she loves people, and cares about them. She's always there with chicken soup, chicken and rice for people that are sick. Money for groceries for those that are in need. A hand to hold for those that need it.
These are just two of many people in my life that serve others. It seems to me that Jesus puts a special heart inside his disciples. We Christians, are all disciples of Jesus Christ. We are not here to see how much stuff we can get on the earth. If you will remember Jesus and his disciples went on many trips without food or any other kind of provisions. All they had was the clothes and the shoes that they wore. Disciples are to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Disciples are to help the needy as best we can. We're here to show the light of Jesus inside each and every one of us. If we care more about worldly goods, then we are hiding that light under the bushel basket of our earthly idols.
Luke 11: 33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
I know too many people there are wealthy. And when they see a needy person they turned their backs and head the other way. I know so many people that are needy themselves, but will stop and give all they can to help someone else in need. These needy people, are building mansions in heaven full of the many blessings of God. The heavenly father blesses those who obeyed his son Jesus Christ. And Jesus' final commandment was for us to love one another. We are to love one another and take care of each other, until the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He's on his way people, what will your heavenly home look like?
Until next time, God bless and God save.
