Are you committed, OR------

I have, and I have also heard many people say( I'm committed to the Lord). Well do you really know the definition of committed? It's a pledged, responsibility. one that leaves the pledged person to have to stay in control to keep the pledge.

But when you surrender yourself to the Lord, you give up all control. You don't have to remember to do anything, because it's all in the Lord's capable hands.

Salvation is so simple. It doesn't cost a thing. I think if salvation were to have a high tag on it, then all the people would desire it. They would work long and hard hours to achieve it.

Salvation did have a high price! But Jesus paid it for us, because he loves us so much. The only thing we have to do is except Him as our Lord and Savior, and confess that we are sinners and confess our sins to Him. So very simple, isn't it? If you're not saved and you think us Christians follow Christ because we are righteous, know this.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God

We Christians were just like you. We just had enough courage to admit that we were sinners and surrender ourselves to Christ.

There's one sad truth, you're either be pardoned by Christ, or you'll take your sins to hell with you when you go. It's your choice.

Until next time God bless. I'm hoping you'll come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and friend.

laugh, it's funny

I just ran across a little story that I posted quite some time ago. I truely don't remember where it came from. It's so funny I just had to post it again, so here it is.

Morris and his wife Esther went to the state fair every year, And every year Morris would say,'Esther, I'd like to ride in that helicopter.' Esther always replied, 'I know Morris, but that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, And fifty dollars is fifty dollars' One year Esther and Morris went to the fair, and Morris said, 'Esther, I'm 85 years old. If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance.' To this, Esther replied, 'Morris that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.' The pilot overheard the couple and said, 'Folks I'll make you a deal. I'll take the both of you for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and don't say a word I won't charge you a penny! But if you say one word it's fifty dollars.' Morris and Esther agreed and up they went. The pilot did all kinds of fancy maneuvers, but not a word was heard. He did his daredevil tricks over and over again, But still not a word. When they landed, the pilot turned to Morris and said, 'By golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you didn't. I'm impressed!' Morris replied, 'Well, to tell you the truth, I almost said something when Esther fell out, But you know, fifty dollars is fifty dollars!'

Hope you enjoyed, God bless

Bad day?

Pictured is Janice Moore, my sister in law.
I thought I was having a bad day yesterday. It seemed I had to struggle to do everything. My fribromyalgia was really bad. I was so stiff and I was hurting so very bad. I always hurt with it, but some days are lots worse, and yesterday was one of those days. Unless you suffer with severe fribromyagia, you just can't imagine the pain that we victims, suffer.

You know those days when you're really sick, and you think to yourself, death would be better than this. Well I was almost there. I think they call it self pity. Which I'm not a very fond fan of. But I was almost there, that is until I received a phone call from my sister in law, Janice last night. She is fighting for her very life. trying to beat that evil disease we all call cancer. She has to travel all the way from Peterburgs VA. to Duke NC. to take her treatments. It's a long and tiring trip even for a healthy person.
When she called, at first I couldn't understand even who she was. But once I recognized her, I was so very happy to here from her. She sounded so chipper and so determined to not let herself be depressed about any of the trails she's been going though. She is a champion of a person in my opinion. I hope you all will keep her in you daily prayers.
After I finished talking to her, I seemed to have a different feeling within myself. Yes, I was hurting and stiff as a board. But I was determined I was going to climb out of that hole of self pity I was falling in.
Thanks Janice for reminding me that we all suffer. And it's not the trails that make us who we are. But it's how we live through those trails with faith and courage, that defines us.
And Janice, I love you so very much. I'm still praying for you every day.

Until next time God bless

Boastfulness

In 2ND Kings chapters nineteen and twenty, we read the story of Hezekiah. He was in a minority one one, Himself. While all the rest of the the kings of Judah before him permitted Idol worship to continue. When Hezekiah became king, he had all the high places torn down. He was bringing the Israelites back from serving other gods, to serving the One true God. After God Himself, had destroyed the king of Assyria's army. Causing the king of Assyria himself to flee. This was done in answer to Hezekiah's prayer. Once the treat from this king no longer existed, Hezekiah fell ill with some kind of sickness, and was told by Isaiah, the prophet of God that he would die. Hezekiah turned toward the wall of the temple and prayed, what must have been a bitter prayer as he begged God to spare his life. God answered Hezekiah's prayer by giving him fifteen more years to live. Rather than be humbled by this miracle, Hezekiah became proud, and enlarged himself, instead of giving God the praise He deserved.

Hezekiah showed the visiting king of Babylon, all the riches of the kingdom, sparing nothing. Hezekiah wanted the Babylonian king to know just how rich he was.

Once a righteous king, Hezekiah had fallen into sinfulness.

Hezekiah was too proud for his own good. He valued things much to highly. He should have boasted on how great God was.

Until next time God bless, and remember where all things come from.
John 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Too many fabrications

I had a very low time yesterday. For about fifteen minutes, tears sprang to my eyes as I thought about all the people I knew and all my family members, and about lies. Now I'm not saying that I have never told a lie, because I have. When I was younger and was not serving the Lord as I should have, I was quite the liar. But yesterday I saw through a different set of eyes. I was looking through the eyes of a person that sincerely wants to serve God, and be as much like Jesus as I could be. And when I looked with those eyes, I saw how destructive lies can be. What hit me the hardest was the fact that, no matter how much you may love someone, if they are often telling lies, then it's hard to have a real relationship with them. A relationship based on lies, is really heading nowhere.

I thought about my Friends and family. and realized, that far too many were, fluent in making false statement. Some for what seems to be the enjoyment of getting one over on someone. Or to make themselves seem bigger, brighter, smarter, better, richer, or whatever. And of course the ones who are not living the most honest of lives. They tell lies to cover the facts of their wrong doing.

There's not a thing I can really do about any of them, except pray that the Lord will show them the wrongness of their ways. But it still hunts when someone you love, lies, and you know the whole while they're speaking, that what's coming out of their mouths are fabrications.

People, lies hurt, they hurt others, and believe it or not they hurt the person telling the lie.

Until next time God bless.

One great husband

This coming Thursday is a day that I will celebrate in my heart. 17 years ago on June 3rd 1993, I married one of the most wonderful men on the earth. He has been my constant friend, and companion, in good times and in bad. And anyone that knows us can tell you, we've gone through some pretty bad times. We've both suffered the loss of our Mothers. We've stood the test of cancer. When I was facing my own mortality, not knowing whether I would live or die. We, Willard and I faced it together. When I couldn't raise myself up, Willard helped me. When I couldn't walk, Willard pushed the wheel chair up and down hills, using all his energy. He's been there for all the big needs. He's been there even for the little stuff. To say a word of encouragement when I'm feeling down. To say something nice about something I may have done.

Yes, he is a wonderful man. I just want to say, Thank you Almighty God in Heaven, for letting me know and marry such a fine person. Willard's not just a great husband, He's a great person.
And Willard I want you to know I love you more and more. Every day I find a new reason to love you ever more. With all my love.
Until next time God bless

Not following footsteps

Well I've been working on crocheting place mats. I made a white set and this green set. I've never heard of anyone crocheting place mats, and that's fundamentally why I did it. I don't like to do anything that someone else is doing or has already done. I'm a bird of a different nature. I don't like going with the crowd. I'd rather go try to find something that the crowd is missing. After all if Benjamin Franklin had been just going along with the crowd, he would have just improved on the gas light. But he took a different route, and took a chance that there was something he could do differently that the crowd. And so we have electricity. So count me strange if you like. But I'm going to keep on being just who I am. And anyway God loves me for the person that He created me to be.
Until next time God bless, and remember by going with the crowd, you may be missing something exciting.
