I can hardly believe how well the Bible lessons at the nursing home is going. All the residents of the home are joining in and giving there opinions it has been a good time for all. The time just flies by and it's 11.00 ( time for one of the residents TV show, The price is right.) One of the men told the funniest thing today. We were talking about how women are just about equal to men these days. He was telling about him and his wife when they were younger. Both worked and payed equally on the bills. His wife's car had broken down and was not worth fixing so he brought her a new one. A few months went by and one week he did not draw as much at work as normal because he was out a day sick. He lacked $20.00 in having enough to pay the car payment and asked his wife if she had any money, explaining what he needed it for. His wife informed him that she did not. when asked was she sure, because he really did need that $20.00 for the payment. She once again said no, that she had no money. He went to the kitchen to get his lunch bag and headed off to work. As he walked down the hallway to go out, he noticed a roll of bills in a rubber band. Unrolling the money he counted $40.00. Excepting that the Lord had heard his prayer. He took $20.00 and went by the dealership and made the payment. That afternoon when he arrived home, his wife was not home from work yet. So he started cooking supper. When she arrived home he watch as she frantically opened one draw after another, looked under all the furniture, etc. Finally she turned to him and asked him had he seen any money. He told her yes he had, and explained that it was a gift from God, and that he made the car payment and kept the other $20.00. He then said to her after all she said you had no money, so it couldn't be hers.
Hey if this is not funny to you, then you had to be there.
God Bless.
