Just human, that's all we are. Some people reflect on people in the Bible and try to make them more perfect than they were.
Take Abraham for instance, He disobeyed God when he took Lot with him. He dismissed God's promise that a nation would come out of him and Sarah, when he took Hagar. I could go on and on, but God didn't look for the perfect man, He looked at a man that had faith in Him. Even though that faith slipped some, he still was a faithful servant to the Lord.
And take Noah for instance. He spent years building that ark, daily facing ridicule from all the people. Have you ever given any thought that some of those people ridiculing him, were his own family members and friends. He went though all that, plus stayed on the ark for a little over a year. Then when all was done, he planted a vineyard grew the grapes, made wine and got drunk.
OK, I can hear some of you right now, (( He didn't know it had turned to wine, He thought it was grape juice)) Well to disagree, which I often do. I think that he knew it was fortified and this 'one time' instead of using it for cough medicine or a pain reliever, he got drunk. He slipped, for a moment in time he was not perfect.
I'm writing this because each one of us need to know that, God already knows we're not perfect. God knows we make mistakes. I could name most of the names in the Bible and could show you mistakes that most every one of those great people in the Bible made.
So quit beating yourself up when you make a mistake. This doesn't mean go out and sin on purpose, no! It means simply. God sees your faults and He loves you anyway. So when you make a mistake, Talk to the Lord about it. confess your sins, He is quick to forgive. God loves each and every one of us, So much that He gave his Son, Jesus Christ so that when ""not if"" when we make mistakes we can be forgiven. You see Christ's Blood was shed in a one time for all time sacrifice. And it's still working today.
God Bless
