David's sorrow

You've all heard me talk about David in the nursing home. He's the little guy, who just as soon as Willard and I walk into the cafeteria, starts telling us about his mother. That seems to be all he wants to talk about most of the time. It's been lately that she's either in the hospital or she was home from the hospital.

Well, David was given the news this morning that she had passed away. I just can't imagine how hurt he feels right now. With the one person in his life that would come to see him. You see David has explained to Willard and me, many times of how he once lived his life. I won't go into the details, because in this case the Devil was certainly in the details.

I remember about two years ago when Willard and I walked in, the first thing that he shouted was( guess what, I got saved today). He had a beam of light shining in his face, as he spread the news. I saw in him that joy that comes only through Jesus Christ. He told the story of how Bessie. a woman that goes to the same church as we go, and a volunteer at the nursing home also, had led him to the Lord. David has been a different person since that day. He tells everyone he meets about him being saved.

I am so glad David knows the Lord, and has a personal relationship with Jesus. Because he's going to need Him now to get him through the lost of his mother.

I'm also so very glad that I took that picture of him and his mother the last time she was there to see him, To my knowledge it's the last picture that was taken of him and her together. The nursing home has it in their pc files and has to often print him a new one, because he carries it with him all the time. It's heartbreaking.

I hope each of you will say a prayer for him.

Until next time God bless, and remember , we never know the time that God has set for our departure from this earthly life, I hope each of you will be ready when that time comes for you.
