Well first, I want to tell all of you, that a acquaintance of mine died this morning, Edna Barefoot. she was a close friend to Joyce, Willard's sister. She had been on dialyses for some years now, in a nursing home in Fayetteville. She has a lot of family in our church, which to my understanding, she was also a member of before she became ill. Please keep this family in your prayers, we all know the hurt and emptiness we feel when we lose a loved one.
The preacher gave a sermon this morning that has been needed to be given for a long time. Speaking about people that live their life's as Christians, but aren't. He said something that I know is true. That is, that they are not just lying to others. They have lived so long pretending, that they have started to believe their own lie. If you are a follower of my blog, then you have seen over and over again, my own referral to such people. As he continued his sermon he mentioned that a Christian could not help but show their love for Christ by their works and the way they lived their lives. So true, and again I have mentioned that also on my blog many times. It's just a sermon that needs to be given every once in a while anyways. It's a sermon that makes a person think about their relationship with the Lord. and ask questions of themselves. And anytime you can make people search their own hearts, well that's one of the things that a church is all about, Isn't it? So I ask you to search your own hearts, Don't let any of those TV preachers tell you that you are saved, just because you said the right words. Search your hearts and ask yourself this one question. Is Jesus Christ number one in my life? If you can't say yes, then you might consider making Him so. When you ask Jesus into your heart, make sure that it's your hearts desire to serve Him. My friend there is nothing in this life more fulfilling than living for Jesus Christ. Nothing at all that will make you have joy in your life as to call Christ your friend.
God Bless and until next time keep a prayer on your lips and a song in your heart.
